SURF THE COASTLINE OF CAP SIM AND SIDI KAOUKI

MARABOUT - A BEACHBREAK FOR EVERYONE

A sandy beach, a little corner called Marabout, and waves that invite you to dance with them. Marabout is the kind of spot that suits everyone, from newbies to pros. The left-hander wave is like a gentle guide, leading you back to the lineup with a wink and a nod. And oh, the right-hander? It's a wild ride all the way to the shore break, promising twice the fun on good days.

LA BOUTEILLE - WHERE THE REEF BECKONS

Just a few meters away from Marabout lies La Bouteille, where the reef bottom gives this spot its unique character. It's a place where intermediate and advanced surfers can challenge themselves on a consistent right-hander wave. Navigating the lineup here requires skill and precision, but the thrill of conquering La Bouteille is oh-so-rewarding.

You can also surf left, but the left-hander is way shorter and closes out most of the time. To get to the lineup, it's better to walk in from the side of the left-hander, where a line of sandy bottom stretches to the depth from where you can paddle on. However, it's dangerous to walk in from the side of the right-hander since the strong current can drag you to the rocks. Besides, the bottom is very uncomfortable to walk.

RIVERMOUTH - WHERE ADVENTURE AWAITS

At the far end of Sidi Kaouki beach lies Rivermouth or locally known as "The River" , a spot that truly comes alive on a rising tide, from medium to high. The waves here are fat and mellow, making it perfect for surfers of all levels.

With its A-Frame setup, you can surf both right and left, but paddling back to the lineup is easier along the channel of a left-hander. It's recommended to stick to the same side for going out and in.

Rivermouth is suited for beginners with guts, intermediate, and advanced surfers. While the waves may appear daunting, they only push at the last moment before breaking. So, have confidence, take the plunge, and enjoy the adventure at Rivermouth.

LA COURONNE AND LA GROTTE - OUR HOME SPOTS

Just 6 km to the right of Marabout, in Cap Sim you'll find our beloved home spots - La Grotte and La Couronne. These two right-hander points hold a special place in our hearts, offering a surfing experience unlike any other.

When the swell direction and power align just right, these spots can transform into a super-long wave, though it's not guaranteed. La Grotte and La Couronne come to life at medium and high tide, attracting experienced surfers eager to test their skills.

But the adventure doesn't begin in the water - it starts with the journey to the beach. After driving to Cap Sim, prepare for a 15-20 minute trek along a rocky path atop the cliff ( with a 4x4 you can drive down the road). As you descend down an almost sheer slope, you'll feel the adrenaline coursing through your veins. Trust us, it's no easy feat, especially if you're packed with a board.

Due to the difficulty of entry, La Grotte and La Couronne are best suited for experienced surfers and shortboards. If you're unsure about where to paddle out or how to navigate the waves, we recommend seeking guidance from the locals or fellow surfers on the shore.

So, if you're up for the challenge and ready to conquer the waves at our home spots, La Grotte and La Couronne await with open arms.
